Artist's Description

A young boy and girl race each other over the sand dunes, excited to be visiting the beach for the first time of the season.

This impressionist digital artwork was created in several steps. The artist's own photograph of sand dunes at West Wittering beach in Sussex was used as the back drop in the 3D graphics program, DAZ 3D. The figures were posed and positioned in the scene and the lighting selected to match the lighting and shadows in the backdrop photograph. After the scene had been rendered in DAZ 3D, the resulting image was processed in Topaz Impression to give it a painterly look and feel. Finally, a texture was added and blended in Photoshop Elements.

About Jayne Wilson

Jayne Wilson

Originally from England, Jayne is a self-taught artist and photographer who now lives in the Houston area. However, after opening her home to a number of furry felines, Jayne stopped creating art for several years. When she was introduced to the 3D digital graphics program Bryce in 2004 a whole new world of artistic possibilities opened up to her. Since that introduction, she has branched out and expanded her skills and now uses Vue Esprit and DAZ 3D to create art in a variety of styles, including landscapes,...
