This emu at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is pretty sure we have treats in the car and is staring us down, while his cohort stands in front of the car to ensure we don't drive on!
Guests to Fossil Rim can buy bags of high protein treats for the animals, but the only ones that are really safe to feed by hand are the giraffe. The other animals, such as this emu, can nip if you're not careful and guests are advised to toss the treats to the side of the road where the animals can nibble them off the ground.
A portion of the proceeds from sales of this photograph will be donated to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
